Access Level

  • Every member has his/her own access level.
  • There are four levels of permission in Shiftee. Owner > Manager > Supervisor > Staff
  • A company can have only one employee with Owner access level. Other access levels can be granted to multiple employees.


Levels of Access

Employees will have access to different features based on their access level.

① Owner
  • This permission is automatically granted for the person who created the company. You have primary permission to have unlimited access to the features including company settings.
  • You can transfer your ownership to Manager. More information can be found on Company Settings.

② Manager
  • Managers have the same level of permission as the Owner, except they can’t have access to company settings, leave accruals, leave type management, etc.
  • A Manager access level is usually assigned to HR personnel who administers Shiftee and who needs access to all data within all teams/locations.
  • A Manager access level can be granted/withdrawn by Owner.

③ Supervisor
  • Supervisors can only manage teams/locations they are assigned to.
  • Supervisor’s permission can be restricted by Owner at company settings.

④ Staff
  • Staff don’t have administrative roles and can only have access to features available by default.
  • Staff’s permission can be restricted by Owner at company settings.

Features available for administrative roles

  • Owner and Manager can perform administrative rights on all teams/locations.
  • Supervisors can perform administrative rights only on their teams/locations.
